Prince William Area Free Clinic

 
 

Mission:


The Prince William Area Free Clinic provides primary medical and adult dental care to indigent and uninsured residents of Manassas City, Manassas Park, and Prince William County.  The clinic operates in Woodbridge on Tuesday nights and in Manassas on Thursday nights.  It is a non-urgent clinic provided for persons who are in need of health care and are willing to follow treatment plans outlined by a physician or dentists.  The Free Clinic is staffed by area dentists and hygienists, physicians and nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy techs, patient educators, social workers, and other volunteers who give freely of their time to bring medical and dental services to patients.

The Prince William Area Free Clinic serves the area bounded by Manassas City, Manassas Park, and Prince William County.

Clinic Hours


The Manassas clinic opens at 4:15 p.m. and the Woodbridge clinic at 3:30.  Lines begin forming outdoors before that time.  Patients must be in line by opening time to be seen by a physician.


Available Services:


The Clinic provides many services, including but not limited to the following:


  1. BulletGeneral medical treatment to children and adults for non-emergency, acute primary health problems.

  2. BulletDental treatment (fillings and extractions) for adults only.

  3. BulletReferrals may be made to an area specialist if a free clinic physician or dentist believes it necessary.

  4. BulletDiagnostic testing is available at no charge to our patients if ordered by a free clinic physician/dentist.

  5. BulletReferrals may be made to other community services when needed.

  6. BulletIn some cases medication may be provided.
















Eligibility


Adults and children (children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) who prove eligibility for state benefits, such as:


  1. BulletFood Stamps

  2. BulletAid to Dependent Children

  3. BulletMedicaid (Adult Dental Services Only)

  4. BulletUnemployment Benefits

  5. BulletSchool Free Lunch Program

  6. BulletIndigent Patients Level A Gross Income


Services are provided on a first come, first served basis.  To get services you need the following:


  1. BulletProof of income.

  2. BulletProof of Manassas City, Manassas Park, or Prince William County residency


The following are indicators of ineligibility:


  1. BulletHaving private health insurance

  2. BulletSimply wanting a second opinion or a physical examination

  3. BulletBeing under 18 years old and not accompanied by a parent/guardian

  4. BulletSeeking dental care for a person under 18 years of age.

    4. Allergies


Adult Dental


    1. Simple extractions and fillings only

Chronic Disease Management Diabetes


    1. Hypertension

    2. Thyroid disorder

    3. Cardiac disease

    4. Neurology services


Mental Health Care


    1. Medication management for the non-seriously ill
